Abstract:Characteristics of crust motion, locking ratio and fault activity of the study area were analized based on a negative dislocation with horizontal GPS velocity data from 2009 to 2011.The study area is divided into 4 blocks by YadongGulu rift and YarlungZangbo Suture.Taking the Southwest Block as a reference point,Euler pole(EP)of Southeast Block is 89.37°,27.91°,-2.56°/Ma,EP of Northeast Block is 89.02°,28.94°,-2.87°/Ma,and EP of Northwest Block is 85.03°,27.98°,-0.93°/ma.Difference of velocity between sites in the north side of YarlungZangbo Suture and the sites in the south side of YarlungZangbo Suture indicates that the Suture is a strikeslip fault with a rate of 6.75±0.9 mm/a in the southern section, and 4.72±0.8 mm/a in the narthern section both of them are larger than that from geological observation.According to the inversion result, the locking depth of YadongGulu rift is 10 km,less than most faults.
