Abstract:The gravity recovery and climate experiment (GRACE) RL05 data from CSR is used to estimate glacier mass changes in the Himlayas from 2002 to 2014 based on mascon data in the spectral domain. The results show that the seasonal ice mass changes and long term ice mass changes can be determined from GRACE measurements in the Himalayas. During 2002-2014, after removing the impact of GIA and Hydrology, the mass change was -8.26 Gt/a, with an acceleration of -3.54 Gt/a2.
