Abstract:The triangular prism surface area method was used to analyze fractal dimension of the different ground objects in remote sensing images obtained from Wenchuan Ms8.0 earthquake. The experimental results show that fractal dimensions values in same region of optical image are different, image quality has great influence on fractal dimension and that fractal feature is able to be used for distinguishing the different degree of building damage, rolling stones and others.
