Abstract:For the limitations of singlelayer ionospheric model, the annual timeseries variations of electron density distributions over China are inverted by using the ionospheric tomography technique and the dualfrequency GPS observations from Curstal Movement Observation Network of China (CMONOC) in 2003. The diurnal varying characteristics of ionospheric electron density over China, especially the development and disappearance of the equatorial anomaly core and the variations of the vertical structure of ionosphere are investigated. The difficulties and problems for using GPS data to inverse the electron density profiles in China are discussed and some suggestions are given for further investigation.
