Abstract:According to limited discrete datum points, a surface fitting method based on Matlab 6.5 for the deformation body is put forward. The steps of this method are, first, applying Delaunay triangulation on the irregular data, then, finding the nearest triangle of every interpolation points (
Xi,Yi) and interpolating this surface at the points to produce Zi based on the theory and method of trianglebased cubic interpolation. The results indicate that with this method the 3D surface of the deformation body can be reconstructed, and the fitting surface is smooth.
