Abstract:The high cutting slopes are widely distributed in the Three Gorges Reservoir area. High precision deformation monitoring is important for the high cutting slope geological hazards monitoring and early-warning. Taking Wanzhou area for example, the application of GPS and TPS to the high cutting slope monitoring is introduced. The monitoring network is composed of the first class reference station network, the working reference network and deformation monitoring network. Monitoring data analysis results indicate that the methods discussed are suitable for the deformation monitoring of high cutting slopes, and achieve the desired monitoring accuracy.
