Abstract:On the basis of on the elastic dislocation theory, we analyzed influences of the effective friction factor in the fault for the calculation of the Coulomb stress and the magnitude and birextion of the maximum principle stress of and regional stress field on the coseismic Coulomb stress changes. The results show that the above mention parameters have the influences on the coseismic Coulomb stress changes significantly to different extent. First, the Coulomb stress change is most sensitive to the regional stress direction, because the regional stress direction changes directly affect the optimum rapture planes. Secondly, Coulomb stress change is modestly sensitive to the of effective friction factor, because the friction decides the weight of normal stress change in Coulomb stress change calculation. At last, our results are insensitive to the regional stress amplitude, because the amplitude of Coulomb stress change is much smaller than that of regional stress field.
