Abstract:Utilizing the gravity data of the gPhone gravimeters(at Beijing, Shenyang, Golamd, Wushi stations) during the Ms9.0 Japan earthquake that broke out in 2011-03-11, we succeed in detecting the Earth’s free oscillations from 0S0 to 0S48, in addition, we observed the spectra splitting of the 0S2,0S3. Compared with the HB1 model, the observed period of \-0S0-0S48 coincide with the results from super conducting gravimeter and the HB1 model. Thus it is confirmed that the gPhone gravimeter can effectively detect the Earth’s free oscillations, and to a certain extent, that the sample data by second are reliable.
