Abstract:Mineinduced seismicity is mainly affected by the mining activities and the structural environment as well as the regional structure stress field where the mine is located. Applying wavelet multiresolution analysis we found that there is very strong relationship between mining speed and mineinduced seismicity. On the basis of this relationship, we proposed controlling the mining speed to reduce mineinduced seismicity. The feasibility of using the mining velocity curve to forecast mineinduced seismicity is analyzed with concrete forecast data. Experiment shows that with a slower and uniform mining speed the mineinduced seismicity can be reduced effectively.
