TEST METHOD AND DATA PROCESSING FOR 3D CIRCULAR OBJECT

Abstract:The difference between the actual 3D circular object and the designed one manifests itself in two aspects: differences of location and shape. The difference of location can be described by use of the coordinate of the circle center and the normal direction, while the difference of shape can be described using flatness, circularity and radius. The data acquisition and data processing methods of 3D circular object are presented. The data analysis of 3D circular object is divided into 3 steps as 3D plane fitting, 3D plane rotation and flat circle fitting. An example proves that this method is practical.
