TRANSFORMATION OF VELOCITY FIELD WITHIN NEU COORDINATE
SYSTEM BETWEEN VARIOUS ITRFS
Second Monitoring Center, China Earthquake Administration, Xi’an 710054
Abstract Using the geometric relationship among NEU coordinate system obtained with the GLOBK software, Cartesian coordinate system (XYZ) and ellipsoidal coordinate system (BLH), taking into account the threedimensional velocity transformation parameters between various ITRFs, a direct conversion formula of crustal horizontal velocity with various ITRFs is derived. This transformation process is clear and easy to be programmed. The result demonstrates that there exists a significant systematic bias in the horizontal movement velocity field within the ITRF2005 and ITRF2008.
