The Method for Determining the Stochastic Model of Single
Epoch Relative Positioning of Combined GPS and BDS

Abstract n order to resolve the problem of how to determine the weight matrix of observations that are of different kinds and come from different systems, the empirical, satellite elevation, and Helmert variance estimation models are analyzed and studied. The data processing results show that the stochastic model of combined system relative positioning is best determined when the Helmert variance estimation model is applied. Further, the success rate of single epoch ambiguity searching and both the precision and reliability of baseline solution is improved.
