Method of Detecting Persistent Scatterers According to Standard Points

Abstract n order to detect PS more effectively, a method that detects PS according to several PS standard points is proposed in this paper. This method considers the stability as well as the strong characteristics of the PS scattering. In the original selection, the amplitude threshold is set according to the PS standard points. The amplitude dispersion threshold is also set according to them in the second selection. Both of the two thresholds do not need to be set manually, as they are hardly influenced by subjective factors. We conduct the PS detection experiments with 18 TerraSAR-X images that cover Macao Peninsula. The result shows that the proposed method can detect PS in the SAR image more rapidly, effectively and reliably than traditional methods.
