Abstract Combining high-resolution shallow seismic profiles and regional geological data, we analyze and discuss the shallow structural characteristic of Tangxi fault. The results show that the southern part of Tangxi fault is composed of two normal faults with NE strike and SE dip, and the Neogene sediments of down-thrown side of the main fault in Tangyin graben is obviously thickened. Combining with the results of trial trench, the latest active age of south section of Tangxi fault is middle Pleistocene.
