A NEW METHOD FOR EXTRACTING FEATURE SIGNAL FROM THE EARTH TIDE OBSERVATIONS

Abstract The empirical mode decomposition method is applied to data processing of earth tide observations. FFT and Venedikov harmonic analysis are used to verificate the decomposition results. The conclusion is that five feature signals are found from the original signal, they are highfrequency signal, semidiurnal tide, diurnal tide,lowfrequency signal and the trend of the observation data.
