CALCULATION OF FOCAL DEPTH BY USE OF sPn PHASE IN INNER MONGOLIA

Abstract On the basis of the digital waveform records of Tuoketuo M4.2 earthquake on June 10, 2003, and M≥ 3.0 earthquakes of different stations in epicenteral distance of 1 000 km in Inner Mongolia,the sPn phase is analyzed and the focal depthes of these earthquakes are calculated.The results show that this method is simple and accurate for using time difference of sPn and Pn to measurate local focal depth of near shoke within crust.
