CHARACTERISTICS OF RECENT CRUSTAL DEFORMATION IN MEDIAN AND SURROUNDING AREAS OF YUNAN

Abstract With the use of repectedly measured level data in three periods:1992,2001 and 2006 , and GPS data in several periods from 1999 to 2007 in the median region of Yunnan, this paper analyzes the status and characteristics of crustal deformation in this area are analyzed. The results suggest that differential movement of the whole deformation field in median region of Yunnan is obvious and manifests itself of a characteristic of noninherit, and this reflects that the regional strain field has changed to some extent; the GPS results suggest that Indonesia earthquake has an obvious effect on Sichuan and Yunnan Area, and probably has an catalysis function on the happence of Wenchuan earthquake to certain extent.
