Abstract The approaches to precise orbit determination (POD) for satellites in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) were sumed up, and the theory, the steps and the factor influencing the accuracy of zerodifference kinematic POD were analyzed. Futhermore, by comparing the zerodifference kinematic orbit determination with doubledifference kinematic, zerodifference reduceddynamic and doubledifference reduceddynamic orbit determination it is found that with this method not only the accuracy close to that with other three methods can be attained, but also it is simple for computing.
