ANALYSIS OF EFFECT OF f -3 TERM AND MAPPING FUNCTION ON IONOSPHERIC DELAY

Abstract According to the Chapman normal ionospheric theory, a mapping function which uses Chapman profile function to weight is designed and then a trigonometric polynomial model of ionospheric VTEC is presented. The observations at Wuhan site on Jan.1,2005,as an example, is processed and the effect of the
f -3 term,the shell height and the mapping function form on ionospheric delay is analyzed.
