Abstract By use of the monthly average gravity model,from Jan. 2003 to Dec. 2010, released by GRACE datacenter CSR,we obtain the variation of continental water storage in China, then analyse and explaint the results with meteorological and hydrological information. The research suggests that the variation of water storage from GRACE is in good agreement with reality,and reflects well the severe drought in southwest provinces from Sep. 2009 to Apr.2010.
