Abstract The transformation method of high accuracy for a threedimensional space rectangular coordinate system based on the use of robust estimation theory is discussed. The method can overcome the low accuracy of individual public point coordinates or very large which will give the latge effect on coordinate transformation error the parameters, and calculate the accurate coordinate transformation parameters, so as to achieve the high accuracy of coordinate transformation. Through the analysis of an example shows that this method is practical and effective
