EFFECTS OF SET AND DROP NUMBERS ON ABSOLUTE GRAVITY MEASUREMENTS

Abstract To estimate the effects of set and drop numbers on FG5 absolute gravity measurement, different set and drop numbers were taken in a test and the result of absolute gravity accuracy and gravity value were calculated and analyzed. The results show that when the sets is 13, 1 set/hour and 100 drops/set then the FG5 absolute gravity measurement can satisfy the 5.0×10 -8 ms -2 accuracy requirement.
