ON ACTIVE STATE OF CHANGBAISHAN-TIANCHI VOLCANO FROM DEFORMATION DATA

Abstract On the basis of 4 period of level and GPS observations in ChangbaishanTianchi volcano region during 2002-2005,the present magma activity is analyzed. The results show that the deformation is obvious during 2002-2003, the rates of the GPS sites in the volcanic region are considerably different from Suiyang station(350 km from P00),it shows that the deformation is effected by magma activity mainly. After 2003, the vertical and horizontal deformation rates become small progressively, especially the rates of the GPS sites in the volcanic region are little different from Suiyang station during 2004-2005, it shows that the magma activity becomes weak gradually.
