Abstract On the basis of the observations of ground water level monitoring well network for the induced earthquakes in Three Gorges in 2006 and the normal dynamic characteristics and the influence factors of ground water, the dynamic changes of the relative observation items during second impoundment of the reservoir are analyzed.The results indicate that the effect of the impoundment on ground water dynamic is obvious.
