Abstract Using the well water level data from Quanzhou and Fuzhou areas, the groundwater model was corrected by the regional repetition gravity data, the gravity value reduced about 10×10-8ms-2. The results show that in order to study the deep crustal tectonic activity through highprecision gravity measurement data, it is essential to eliminate the effect of the groundwater.
