DENSITY RATE OF STRAIN ENERGY OF CRUST IN SICHUANYUNNAN
REGION AND ITS STRUCTURAL SIGNIFICANCE

Abstract The evolution of strain energy density in the earthquake gestation was analyzed,and the strain energy density rate in SichuanYunnan region was calculated using the GPS data from CMONOC and XIMALAYA,combined with seismic wave structure.The results show that:in 20012007,the strain energy level in Longmenshan
fault zone was very high,the strain energy in Honghe fault,Nujiang fault,Nanninghe fault and Lancang fault was not accumulated.In 20072009,the strain energy in the study area was influenced largely by the Wenchuan earthquake.In 20092011,the strain energy accumulated were similar to that in 20072009.
