ANALYSIS OF SHUIKOU RESERVOIR SEISMICITY CHARACTERISTICS

Abstract On the basis of characteristics of historical earthquake of the Shuikou reservoir area the feature of the earthquakes in the Shuikou reservoir area is discussed.Through the analysis of the crust deformation data observed by shortline leveling and the results of focal mechanism resolution,it is proposed that in the earlier stage of the seismicity in this area was induced by water and in the later stage it is related to the tectonic stress field strenthening.
