A METHOD FOR SEISMIC DATA ACQUISITION OF MULTIPLE SERIAL PORTS

Abstract Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter(UART) is widely used in earthquake monitoring system to monitor data and transmit command. Because of the insufficient quantity of serial ports of some core devices, multiple extended serial ports are needed. A method based on TL16C754B to expand multiple serial ports is proposed and the design of systems circuit and source code are put forward. This design has several advantrages: low cost, high steady, low power, anti-interference ability, compact circuit, etc. so is successfully used in microtremor observation system.
