Abstract On the basis of the summary of high technology and its development trend, preliminary study about development of high technology serving for protecting against and mitigating earthquake disasters is presented.At first, an experimental evaluating index system of high technology in protecting against and mitigating earthquake disasters field is figured out along with the development course of high technology in protecting against and mitigating earthquake disasters field. The summarization of the evolvement and the analysis of challenges are followed by the developing strategy study of high technology in protecting against and mitigating earthquake disasters field during 2010-2015. This paper finally points out some subjects and fields that may be crucial in the future development of high technology in protecting against and mitigating earthquake disasters field.
