RELIABILITY ANALYSIS OF DEEP BOREHOLE STRAINMETER DATA IN BEIJING BAISHAN

Abstract Deep borehole strainmeter was installed in Beijing Baishan in October 2008, it has accumulated a lot of observations which provides the basis for the reliability analysis. We analyzed system reliability from stability of the reference component, harmonic tidal factor, and correlation analysis of the plane strain calculated by perpendicular component. In the conclusion, Beijing Baishan deep borehole strainmeter has high consistency and reliability, it can provide reliable and credible observations for geophysics research and earthquake prediction.
