INVESTIGATION ON EARTHQUAKE SCIENCE KNOWLEDGE OF GRADUATES FROM JUNIOR MIDDLE SCHOOL IN WUHAN CITY

Abstract In order to find out the level that graduates from junior middle school in Wuhan City mastered the popular knowledge about earthquake science,we designed some examination papers about earthquake knowledge and distributed them to 100 graduates for onsite investigation.The results are as follows:4% of the graduates got “good”,18% got“middle” and 78% got the “bad”.The situation makes us worried,so we should strengthen the eduation about the earthquake knowledge for the middle school students to rise the consciousness of the whole people to take precautions against earthquakes and decrease the disasters.
