Abstract The A10 absolute gravimeter is a high precision, high coherence, transportable and easy operating instrument in site to measure the vertical acceleration of gravity (g). Through a long time of field observations, we have recognized that the measurement number of sets, the number of drops and the measurement time of A10 absolute gravity gravimeter can be less than that of absolute gravimeter FG5 observations of the acquisition parameters set in the condition of meeting the accuracy demand. The results and accuracy can be affected by the observatory quality, weather and other external factors in different extent.
