Abstract Analyzing results of observational data of water temperature gradient experiment in Wenquan Well, Xinjiang indicate that there are macrostability and microdifferency in water temperature changes. The macrostability can be represented by a Logarithmic equation, and the microdifferency manifests in dynamic changes in various depth. In addition, the tidal variations can be captured at the layer where water gradients changing violently.The differency mainly is related to hydro geological structure.
