Abstract A broadband seismo-electromagnetic radiation observation system is developed for better seismo-electromagnetic signal identification under complex global electromagnetic environment. The system is composed of a space electric field sensor with frequency band of 0.1 Hz-100 kHz and a high speed data acquisition device with sample rate of 512 kHz and clock synchronization precision better than 100 ns. The experiment at 6 sites in Yunnan province shows that the system is capable of recording clear waves of electromagnetic pulse and the signal from the same source at different sites in a large area. This is ideal for identifying seismo-electromagnetic signals through detailed signal information and position.
