Abstract:Through data processing the location results of micro earthquake in Tangshan region with grid interpolation method the distribution patterns of earthquake magnitudes, original times and hypocentral depths were obtained. The pattern of magnitude distribution is characterized proximately by northeastern zones along TangshanGuye,TangshanDouhe, which correspond to the NE Tangshan fault belt. The pattern of original time distribution is characterized by NE, NW and NNW zones. The hypocenters are mainly in the middle and upper crust. In the central and northern regions the hypocenters are shallower that indicates the NW part of the fault(hanging wall) thrust,so the hypocenters in the NW thrust upper block are shallower, while in the southern region the hypocenters are deeper. It indicates the hypocenters in the SE lower block are deeper.
