Abstract:The coseismic deformation field of the Bam earthquake(Mw 6.5)in LOS(line of sight)is obtained with two pass DInSAR technique based on ascending and descending pass Envisat ASAR images.Meanwhile, the azimuthal displacement is obeained with AZO(azimuthal pixel offsets)technique.Futhermore, the coseismic 3D deformation field is resulted from the deformation field in LOS and the azimuthal displacement. The results indicate that the seismogenic fault is a rightlateral strikeslip fault with a little effect of block rotation in eastwest direction. The southeastern quadrant block uplifts under the extrusion stress, and the northeastern quadrant block subsides under the tension stress. There is no dramatic deformation on surface that has a less extent rupture.
