Abstract:Terrestrial water storage (TWS)change in the Yangtze and Yellow River Basins was investigated using timevariable gravity data from GRACE.Comparisons between GRACEderived TWS change and hydrological models in seasonal and interannual scale indicate that the TWS variation in the Basins is consistent with precipitation in temporal and spatial patterns. The results demonstrate that timevariable gravity data from GRACE can be used to monitor global or regional TWS change and equivalent water height changes in cm level.
