Abstract:In this paper, two same type very broadband seismometers are installed in the seismic observation station three kilometers away from the subway. One is equipped with a shielding case, the other is not. By calculating the acceleration power spectrum density of continuous 24 hours observation data, we evaluate the influence of subway electromagnetic field on the observation of very broadband seismometer. The results show that the influence of subway electromagnetic field on the 3 components of the very broadband seismometer is mainly in the frequency band of 10 to 1 000 s, affected mostly in the vertical direction, followed by the horizontal direction.
