Abstract:The observations of repeated levelling network with both dynamic and static adjustment method were processed, and the two kinds of variation and velocity of each elevation point were obtained. The results show that the dynamic method is more reasonable than static one for describing characteristics and course of crustal vertical motion because the former is independent of reference mark, and takes the time factor acquired data into account. The results from static adjustment, however, the variation, accuracy and velocity of unknown marks will vary with the location of reference mark, and a constraint numerical value will occur in results. This submerges or transfers the possible deformation information contained in raw data. It is suitable to make use of dynamic result for analyzing crustal vertical motion.
