Abstract:The gravity tides of Fuzhou and Zhangzhou stations at seconds' sampling rate are studied during the Talim and Saola periods in 2012.Firstly, the Butterworth highpass filter is applied to extract the high frequency gravity tide related to the typhoon disturbance.Secondly, the data is transformed by FFT algorithm to analysis the frequency and amplitude of the typhoondisturbance gravity tide. The results show good correlation between the distance, the typhoon center and gravity tides. The frequencies of typhoons Talim and Saola range from 0.16 to 0.28 Hz,and the frequency range of Fuzhou and Zhangzhou gravity station is usually 0.25 to 0.35 Hz.
