Abstract:The effect of clock error on the orbit determination of single navigation satellite and the accuracy in the ideal situation based on regional data are discused. Three different strategies for dealing with clock error are compared to analyse this effect on orbit. After removing the clock error, the optimal accuracy based on regional data can be reached under such ideal circumstances. GPS single navigation satellite orbit determination can be implemented based on the field data from 5 GPS tracking stations in China. The results show that the orbit of single navigation satellite is more likely to be affected by clock error and noise of observations because of geometric distribution limitation of tracking stations. After removing the clock error from observations the orbit accuracy is better than 2 meters and 10 meters in radial direction and position respectively under such ideal circumstances,as the measurement noise becomes the predominant error source that affects the orbit.
