Abstract:The tilt data observed during 2004 to 2007 with DSQ water tube tiltmeter at Xiamen seismostation are assessed in quality and an analysis of the main disturbances of the ground tilt observations is made as well. The following conclutions are drawn: 1) The general quality of the observations meets ordinary requirements of deformation surveying standard and reaches the national advanced level. 2) There is a certain gap between the noise level and the RMS error of M2 tidal factor and characterizing the inherent accuracy of the data and those observed at some advanced stations. 3) The main disturbance factor impacting observations is sea tide.
