Abstract:Three methods for GPS differential velocity determination:the first one is the velocity determination of receiver original Doppler, the second is the velocity determination of Doppler derived from the carrier phase and the third derives from Kalman filter based on carrier phase are discussed.A comparison among those approaches is made on the static and dynamic data from Ashtech GPS dual-frequency receivers. The data processing results show that the accuracy of the last one is the best, which can reach the level of “mm/s”. Then, the smoothed acceleration is calculated by Bspline least squares fitting. The results indicate that the accuracy of the vertical acceleration of the carrier in static situation can reach 2×10 -8 ms -2 by using proper filter method and interval.
